Programme terms: Technology Law: A Pre-University Programme
Last updated: 26 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you register a student for Technology Law: A Pre-University Programme (the programme), run by Law Lab Africa LLC (Law Lab Africa). "You" means the person who registers and pays: the student's parent or guardian, or a student aged 18 or over who registers themselves.
2. The programme
The December programme runs online for three weeks from Monday 7 December 2026. It includes five online modules, a fictional client brief with individual written feedback from a practising technology lawyer, two live online sessions, and a Certificate of Completion for students who complete the modules and submit their advice.
3. Who can take part
Students must be 16 or over on 7 December 2026. A parent or guardian must register any student under 18. By registering a student under 18, you confirm that you are their parent or legal guardian and that you consent to their taking part.
4. Fee and payment
The fee is KES 10,000 per student, paid through Paystack by M-Pesa or card when you register. A registration is confirmed when the payment is received.
5. Cancellations and refunds
You can cancel for a full refund by writing to course@lawlab.africa until Sunday 13 December 2026, seven days after the programme begins, as long as the student has not submitted their client advice. After that, the fee is not refundable. If we cancel the programme, or move it to dates the student cannot attend, we refund the fee in full. We pay refunds to the original payment method within 14 days.
6. Live sessions
The live sessions take place online. Students may keep their cameras off. We do not record the live sessions. Students should take part respectfully, and we may remove a student from a session if they do not.
7. The student's work
The advice a student writes remains theirs. We use it only to give feedback and to decide whether the student has completed the programme.
8. The certificate
The Certificate of Completion shows that the student completed the programme. It is not an academic qualification and does not carry academic credit.
9. Personal data
We use the details you give us, and the student's work, only to run the programme, as described in the privacy notice. We do not use students' details for marketing.
