By accessing or using www.lawlab.africa (the "Site"), subscribing to the Data Protection Digest Africa newsletter, or enrolling in any Law Lab Africa course, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or our services.

These Terms apply to Law Lab Africa LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("Law Lab Africa", "we", "us", "our").

2. No Legal Advice Professional Liability Disclaimer

Law Lab Africa is a technology compliance consultancy and think tank. We are not a law firm. Nothing on this Site, in the newsletter, or in any course constitutes legal advice, and no attorney-client or solicitor-client relationship is formed by your use of this Site or our products.

Specifically:

• Course content, newsletter articles, and website materials are educational and informational only
• Regulatory frameworks described may have changed since publication always verify against current primary sources
• Jurisdiction-specific compliance questions should be directed to a qualified legal practitioner in that jurisdiction
• We make no representations that course content satisfies all obligations in your specific jurisdiction or industry
• CPD/CLE accreditation credits, where available, do not constitute legal advice or a guarantee of compliance

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Law Lab Africa disclaims all liability arising from reliance on any content published on this Site or in our products.

The Data Protection Digest Africa newsletter is published bi-weekly and is free to subscribe. By subscribing:

• You consent to receiving periodic email communications from Law Lab Africa
• You may unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email
• Newsletter content is for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice
• We reserve the right to modify publication frequency or discontinue the newsletter at any time

5. Course Africa Data Protection Compliance

Enrolment in the Africa Data Protection Compliance course is subject to the following:

• Access: Upon purchase, you receive lifetime access to course materials for individual use only
• Licence: Course materials are licensed, not sold. You may not copy, share, redistribute, or resell course content
• Team and corporate licences: Multi-seat licences are governed by the terms set out at point of sale
• Founding member pricing: The $67 founding member price is available to the first 30 purchasers using coupon code FOUNDING. We reserve the right to close this offer at any time
• Refunds: We offer a 14-day refund if you have completed fewer than 3 modules. Contact info@lawlab.africa to request a refund
• CPD/CLE accreditation: Accreditation is pending with LSK (Kenya), NBA (Nigeria), and LSSA (South Africa). We do not guarantee accreditation and you should verify CPD eligibility with your relevant professional body
• Updates: We will update course materials periodically to reflect regulatory changes. Updates are included at no additional cost

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site including course materials, newsletter content, written articles, graphics, and design is the intellectual property of Law Lab Africa LLC and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

Brief quotations for educational or journalistic purposes are permitted provided you attribute Law Lab Africa and link to the original source.

7. Third-Party Links

This Site contains links to third-party websites including the newsletter platform (Beehiiv) and course platform. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of third-party sites. Links are provided for convenience only and do not constitute endorsement.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Law Lab Africa LLC, its members, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this Site or our products, including but not limited to:

• Reliance on any content as legal advice
• Regulatory penalties or enforcement actions
• Loss of business, revenue, or data
• Any errors or omissions in course content or newsletter articles

9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except where prohibited by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under applicable consumer protection or data protection legislation in your jurisdiction.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The "last updated" date above will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
