§ 01What it is

One free session. Your community chooses the topic.

The Founders Compliance Series is a free training programme from Law Lab Africa, delivered at tech hubs, incubators, and accelerator programmes across the continent. Each two-hour session covers a focused compliance topic, grounded in actual enforcement trends, current legislation, and hands-on frameworks your founders can apply immediately.

We offer a menu of six topic modules covering the compliance areas most relevant to African tech founders. Your community picks one. We come and deliver it. If further sessions are useful, we can discuss a full programme from there.

Law Lab Africa publishes the Africa DP Enforcement Tracker, tracking 336 enforcement decisions across Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, and Uganda. Every session draws from that live database of what regulators are actually doing.

Built on real regulatory data
Every session is grounded in actual enforcement decisions from African regulators. We track 336 decisions across four jurisdictions in real time. What we teach reflects what regulators are actually investigating and penalising.
Hands-on
Frameworks you can use immediately
Sessions are structured around practical application, not legal theory. Founders leave with concrete steps, checklists, and decision frameworks they can apply to their products before the week is out.
Current
Law as it stands today
African tech regulation is moving fast. We monitor 47 regulatory sources daily across the continent. Sessions reflect the current state of the law, including recent amendments, new enforcement guidance, and active investigations.
